I absolutely adored the first two books in this series and was anxiously awaiting this third book for a year.While it was good, it was not up to the standards of the first two books. Speaking patterns seemed a bit stilted and unnatural this time, and the authors didn't blend as well as they have in the past. If I wasn't already invested in the characters from the first two books, I don't think I would have bothered to finish the book.The new characters we were introduced to in this book didn't seem as 3 dimensional, and the time before her traveling back in time seemed to drag on instead of lead me along.
That being said, I will probably read book 4 if it's ever on sale for 99 cents, just to finish the story because unlike the first 2 books, this one was unresolved and came to an abrupt ending,

The author and the location of this book is in the area where I grew up. I am very familiar with the Graham mansion - one of the granddaughters was the librarian at the high school I attended.

I can't wait to start the next book they are a mix of history , mystery and excitement. The setting for these books are home to me because I just live across the Wythe co line in Carroll.
Not happy with content
I am really enjoying this series very much. It is very interesting and fun to read. I am impressed with how much I love it.
To enjoy this book it is best if you start with book 1 in the series. Love the mystery as the story unfolds.
Graham mansion serie is a great historical journey. All the characters are well though. My only complaint this time around is that Grae is not believable as a teenager in modern time. She speak to well, is to proper. The Grae and Gav relationship seems to go backward. I don t believe Gav would not at least kiss Grae s cheek.
There is now 3 mystery men in this book. Well, 2 and a amusing cat. I LOVED the twist about who Grae meets while traveling.
I have enjoyed these books very much, I am not that crazy about the ending. I guess I am not a fan of " stay tuned" or " to be continued" movies or books. Hopefully the time will pass quickly and the 4th book will be published soon. one thing that is very annoying to me personally, is the fact that usage of the same name gets quite confusing. I mean does there really need to be 5 Mary's, Martha's, David's and John's, we get it, they're Related!!!!!
